A market in Adamawa state has been attacked by a suicide bomber.




The suicide bomber attacked a market in Gombi area of Adamawa state.
A witness reported to BBC that at least eight fatalities have been recorded after the bomb blast took place at about 12 noon on Friday January 29.
 Othman Abubakar of the Adamawa state police command,  revealed that at least three people were confirmed dead including the bomber and 17 others injured.
The attack is suspected to have been masterminded by Boko Haram insurgents as the market, which attracts people from Cameroon and other neighbouring countries, is in a local government that shares boundary with the dreaded Sambisa forest.
