The senate president Bukola Saraki alleged corruption trial begins at the code of conduct tribunal today.

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has returned to the Code of Conduct Tribunal, where he is facing a 13-count charge on alleged corruption and false declaration of assets.
Mr. Saraki was arraigned September 18, but pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail.
On Wednesday, Mr. Saraki appealed to the Supreme Court to stop the trial after the Court of Appeal in Abuja refused the request last week.
Mr. Saraki was accompanied to the tribunal Thursday morning by several senators.
The case against him was read after the arrival of the chairman of the tribunal, Umar Danladi.
